I’ve heard that traffic and road rage were bad in the US, but even I never figured it would warrant a flak jacket, helmet, and blast visor!

It's a real prototype, the exterior designer posted him posing with it

Here it is!! Unfortunately there are no dimensions on the concept but it's a thing of beauty:

I'm thinking that is a beautiful car, but it is gonna ride like a buckboard!

This would be a nice "carry over" touch

For its intro, start out with the old film clip showing an original Airflow being rolled off the cliff and have the new version emerge at the bottom!

Doors give it a PT Cruiser vibe to the side view. I like that part of it.

Every time I get in my XJ Cherokee I am amazed at the superior visibility.

To be honest, while I do think it is a nice design and it is nice to see Chrysler show something new and innovative if I had the choice between this and a Chrysler 300 or Pacifica, give me the later for the next ten years. And give me back $5 bulbs for the rear lights for example. Can we get back to some basics and common sense instead of everything starting to be over engineered? At least there is still a steering wheel. :)

I also think a back to basics car would sell. As new vehicles get loaded up with expensive high tech features there is still a market for basic transportation, that explains the popularity of the Caravan and Journey and dare I say it the recently departed Patriot. If FCA will not build a basic vehicle someone else will, and when times get bad we will be screwed.

Come to think of it...that gear would come in handy if you wanted to take part in local politics in Rhode Island...either that, or full-body armor (including plastic cup):p:D

Front reminds me of a Chrysler, the rear looks like a Dodge...are they getting full bang for their buck with this concept? :p

Well, it's not a sexy sports car or retrofuturistic sedan or decadent cruiser like those legendary concepts from the 90s and early 00s, but it's refreshing to see another concept car from Chrysler!! I looked at the sketches and groaned, thinking they were yet another drawing whose primary dramatic effect came from exaggerated proportions that wouldn't make it onto a concept car, let alone a production car. But here we are with the frankly ridiculous...wheels? and fenders? in the flesh?? I wouldn't buy one but it's an attention-getter for sure, and we could use some of that!
