    I knew that Walker Evans was a Dodge off-road racing stalwart for years but I never knew that he raced Jeeps too.

    Yep, in some of Bob Sheaves' posts, Bob mentions working with him at AMC.
    Many of Jeep's top racers, Brian Chuchua, Rod Hall, Walker Evans and Larry Minor, reached the Off Road Hall of Fame. AMC's efforts for many years were solely because of the operation out of Brian's Fullerton shop.
    Read Bob's article about Walter Voss, at Allpar, a great insight into the AMC factory operation, which was spurred on by the small group of SoCal racers.
    You can also add a few of the Mears Gang to that list, as Roger campaigned a Commanche pickup for a few seasons.

    "Mr. Walker", as he is known in the pits, still frequents the King of the Hammers race and several other Off Road venues.

    I only followed Off-road peripherally, but way back in this tired ol' memory bank is an image of James Garner driving some type of AMC vehicle in off-road events (?).

    Yep, while Garner primarily drove other types (IIRC an Olds 88 one year!) he was also the real deal. Garner and McQueen were cut from the John Wayne cloth, not like many "starts" today, who are cut from another cloth...:rolleyes:

    A couple of photos of Dodge trucks in off-road action shared from Pinterest. The bottom photo is of Brian Stewart;

    Did they race the 'new look' 1993-94 Rams?

    Not sure. Off-road is only a peripheral interest for me, mostly followed via Dodge racing ads in performance publications. I'll search around some when I have time.

    Here is a Mopar backed Dakota from a more recent era (Brian Collins @ SCORE San Felipe 250 in 2008).

    I think that most of the RAM racing efforts went into the Nascar truck series. I know that Walker Evans was one of the first to race Mopar trucks in Nascar. He went over from Off-road racing (discussion earlier in this thread). Too bad Norm isn't still with us - he knew the off-road history cold.

    Ad circa 1983 when Chrysler was not supporting any Nascar teams.
