    Verlin Eaker raced part time in USAC stocks from 1969 through 1973. He won his only USAC stock car race at the DuQuoin dirt track shown in that great video that DC-93 linked in post #41 earlier in this thread. Here are some pictures that I found (shared) on his Pinterest site of Mopars that he drove in USAC. The #99 is listed in the USAC records as belonging to Terry Nichels - Ray Nichels' son.

    This one looks to have been shot @ the Milwaukee Mile track;

    Although Verlin Eaker only had that one USAC win in 1971, he also had a 2nd and two 3rds.

    In 1972, he finished 2nd twice in the #99.

    Slightly off-topic, did AMC also step in USAC with some Rebel/Matador as well?

    Dave Marcis assumed some of the driving responsibilities for Penske in 1972 or 1973 I think. He also competed at a race or two on USAC's stock car division races at Pocono and Milwaukee and did well there even though he was racing against unrestricted 430 cubic inch engines (and winged superbirds!) with his 366 cubic inch engine. In the 1972 race, running against these cars, he had moved up to second place about three-quarters of the way through until carburetor problems surfaced. He finished fourth. USAC cars were allowed to use a large front air dam, so the Matador had one, too.

    DC-93 was a purpose built speedway car. It has the body raked 1.5 degrees relative to the chassis.
    I'm surprised Don got it around the short tracks as well as he did.

    Here's another one of Norm Nelson @ Milwaukee mile.

    Norm Nelson @ Milwaukee Mile '72.jpg

    E-Bay sellers don't mind - it's free advertising for them. I usually can't distinguish whether they have been "poached" or not (sellers almost all imply that they took the photos themselves). It's up to the original photographer to try to stop the e-Bay poster from profiting.

    Very true, and a lot of them are dead.
    I find it interesting the Getty Images has some photos taken by Chrysler Photographic, claiming they 'own' them!! lol....

    Picture shared from Facebook of The USAC winged car driven by Bobby Unser @ Milwaukee in 1972. It appears to be Bobby himself getting ready to enter the car - image not quite clear enough for me to confirm.

    Another photo from that same race - pace lap of the "Miller 200" at the Milwaukee Mile track. The winged Mopars that can be clearly seen are the #5 of Unser and the #3 of Roger McClusky. Also clearly visible is the '72 Dodge Charger of Don White, #9.

    McClusky won the race.
