What a mind-bogglingly dumb decision. Marketing the same exact vehicle under two model names makes zero sense.

The 1984-1990 Voyager and Caravan would like a word with you. As would the Reliant and Aries or the 2000-2003 Voyager and Town & Country

Not really. It differentiates product, which these days, especially in something utilitarian like a minivan, is more about what's inside anyway.

I'm going to speculate that a refreshed Pacifica will be unveiled in the upcoming auto show season.

I am confused. will a customer be able to get 2nd row stow&go.
. Both the L and the LX come with cloth seats, though the L has a second row bench seat. The LX adds second-row bucket seats, a power driver seat, and other convenience features. Stow ‘n Go is only available for the third row seats on non-fleet models.
so by the above statement the Voyager comes with 2nd row bench or stationary buckets and stationary 3rd row bench.
    No thanks..I need full stow&go.

So for the same price you would buy the Caravan over the Pacifica? becuase you don't like the grill and shifter?

Edited the article to clarify that line.

Stow ‘n Go is standard for the third row on all Voyagers. It’s only available in the second row on the fleet-oriented LXi trim.

Lost my sale. I'll just wait for a used LXI from enterprise.

Question to all posters: Would you pick heated seats and steering wheel or FULL stow&go?

FULL stow&go. I don't use it on the second row very often, but when I do, it is so much more convenient than dragging seats out. Even in WI I don't use heated seats much.

As I work in sales for FCA, I still don’t understand why consumers call the Pacifica expensive. The starting MSRP is comparable and and even lower than some competitors. How much cheaper can a 7 passenger full size minivan get?

    I agree with you.

I think it’s because a lot of people are so used to the incentives (or the old, cheap designs) on the Grand Caravan and T&C that the all-new Pacifica gave them sticker shock. It’s a much improved vehicle overall so the price would be justifiable to me, but everyone has their opinion.

I have never liked the crease line on the sides of the Pacifica, and do not like the black plastic triangle-shape at the rear D-pillars. The rear and sides look awkward.

    .

Sorry I can't help you much ... I live in Phoenix, AZ : The Seats are Always heated as is the Steering Wheel. I've yelped a time or two just handling the steering wheel without preparing myself ( for instance, going out to the car with a damp paper towel in hand to cool down the wheel*. Always buying Cloth interior surfaces for those, eh-hem, "tender parts" when I sit down ) .

So, my response falls under the "Choose Stow'n'Go" category. :)

    .
    * - A couple of quick swipes around the steering wheel heats up the damp paper towel nearly to the point that it's difficult to continue to hold. That, alone, can be wicked. As you can tell, my vehicles don't have a garage to protect them, unfortunately.

Chrysler the brand has been through the mill and it's going to take discipline to move up the price ladder. They a good dealer experience and quality vehicles will allow that, but it's long term, not short term.

My wife ordered in 2002 a Chrysler Voyager LX with the Navy blue interior.............that was a sweet ride. Had the 3.3L engine with the Customer Preferred Package and optional side air bags. Check out the window sticker.

Just think of all the extra equipment you could get on this Voyager for about $3,000 more......
