I don't think Nassau was what Chrysler made us think it was.

I think that they were going to release it at an autoshow (like NAIAS) but discovered that it had 'Little Red Truck' Syndrome.

Luckily for them, they kept it hidden, unlike the latter, and kept the overall shape of the 300C covered until it was shown by car-truck.

It seems to be the first of many 'production ready' concepts that would require minimal changes for production (like the Magnum, Pacifica, Imperial, etc).

IIRC, the things that made the Corsair (F4U) scary for inexperienced pilots were these: it has waaaaay more horsepower and a waaaaaay bigger propeller than it was really designed for, because it was an on-the-drawing-board design that was hastily pumped up to try and match/exceed the performance of Japanese designs.

    I don't think that's exactly a bad name precedent for a 800+ hp sports car.

now, THAT would be an interesting idea. It would make sense for Chrysler to further differentiate the wagon from the 300C in the US market. And yet, given Magnum's not-so-stellar sales (though they are quite good for a wagon), it would seem pointtless for Chrysler to inttroduce another wagon.

Could Nassau be a crossover concept or a possible preview of the styling of the next 300?

I predict that the 300 will be replaced by TWO RWD sedans: Nassau (on the LC (Challenger) platform, slightly smaller than 300) and New Yorker (LWB, bigger and plusher than 300). The Chrysler-brand LY wagon/crossover might end up being called "Pacifica".

EDIT: actually, I guess not. PVOMan has said that Nassau is a design-feedback exercise. Sort of like the last Nassau, I guess.

I heard that it's the new verion of the Tomahawk, except with the new Twin Turbo 8.4 that has a blower. It's also on a Razor scooter to reduce weight. It's supposed to go 0-crying for your mom in .13 seconds.

Yep. They license the names for bikes. My oldest kid has a 24" Jeep bike - I forget the name. It's a pretty nice bike.
