Not that design. Same name, yes. Same product? No.

    Which was version 2?
Just so we are on the same page.
I think these are Recaro's, not OEM.

I think he was referring to a potential Porkchop Version 2.

As a sidebar, and relates to my previous comment on seats, yes Recaro did supply seats to Chrysler as far back as the Dodge Daytona & Chrysler GTC, but the Porkchop seats, as Norm noted were not OE Chrysler seats.

Right. A version of Porkchop modified for production. That was how I read it, anyway...

    So it was never built???
I thought he was referring to an actual concept, which I had not seen, but he was extrapolating? Then, yes anything is possible, if given the budget and the leeway....

Again, as Bob and I both noted, not likely, and certainly not 1,000 lbs lighter. However it will be interesting to see what the 2017 becomes and how much it weighs.
Bob predicted it might even gain weight, for various reasons.
It might be possible to lose 500lbs, but the resulting vehicle would likely also lose customers....and there is those pesky crash standards.
Our race Jeep has a 305lb body, but to be safe, it has a 2700 lb cage/frame.

Could have sworn they used the Sabelts from the 2012 Viper SEMA car... must have been a different Jeep

Hmmm, maybe all they built was the drawing, or I missed it? The Vipers shown, were the Vipers at 2012.
    EDIT:
Found it, in my 2012 Press Kit, only as a drawing, so either I missed it, or it was unveiled after I left the Mopar Display.

Hornet? I wonder if that makes its way on to anything.

I forgot it was Limited Platinum. Their naming scheme is not consistent between brands, though I guess it should not be.

Right. For 300, Limited is the low end. For minivans, it's the high end. Touring was once high end and on my 2006 van it's the low end. Actually it's a midline Plymouth Voyager but who's counting?
