I'm not up to date on all the latest Allpar news and rumors, but I remember hearing the Cherokee was going to get an "exciting" update on the fascia. Last I heard, it was delayed, though. However, the sculpted sides and window shape look very Cherokee. I just can't gauge the saize.

Those are the best spy pics of the Compass Trailhawk that I have seen to date.

Hmmm.... wheels are a dead giveaway for a Trailhawk. Looks like a Cherokee with a normal snout.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I am NOT very confident) the Patriot is to be replaced by the Renegade. BUT, they will continue the sales of both for a few years before totally phasing out the Patriot. (Where I'm really shaky) I would think there would be very little investment in the Patriot, other than a minor face lift.

The Compass is slated for a major update, and will be marketed as an inexpensive entry level (i.e. poor man's) version of the Grand Cherokee.

So a brand new vehicle in disguise, that has a lot of similarities in styling to the Grand Cherokee, would logically be the Compass. Or did I miss something in the plans discussed on allpar?

They are not updating Patriot in any way. It will simply phase out.

It's not a major update, it is a replacement. It is a whole new vehicle on the same platitecture as the Rengade and 500X.

    Correct.

I still wonder if they will ever consider making Renegades in the US ... once they are done moving plants around. Some are wondering about where Compass and 100 will be made...

I think it is very possible, I have nothing to confirm it, but if additional production is needed... It could happen.

Possibly Belvidere once the Dart leaves and the current Compass/Patriot ends. I could see them doing as they did with Windsor - building a lot of PM/MKs and then doing the changeover.

Yup. However I suspect they would renovate the plant first and maybe start Compass in Italy... or stock up on Compass and Patriot at dealerships and then spend three months.

There have been a lot of manufacturing innovations since Belvidere was last really renovated.

Sounds like Toluca will get SUSW possibly. Which is sort of what we figured.

Or this Compass is CUSW based.....

I don't know the answer, but I've always thought the Jeep CSUV will not offer a 6cyl. I'm guessing its based on the SUSW.

And how did you confirm that this one is from Brazil and not a pilot vehicle built in the US?

Ok I will ask again, how have you confirmed that the vehicle in the picture is not an American built pilot vehicle?

I am curious to know, if it was an assumption that's fine but please say whether it was or wasn't.

It's an assumption. We first saw it in Brazil prepared to be shipped to Miami. And obviously it has been seen in Miami just (I think a week) before dealer's show. I could be wrong but I doubt it.
