Too costly to modify the platform and has the exact same issues of meeting future regulations that the Viper has.

It couldn’t be justified the first time, it is extremely doubtful it could be justified this time. If only it was as simple as it is being made out to be.

If a certain "future outcome" of FCA brings the "Corvette" aboard, would it make any case for a future Viper successor dead?

Yes... one of many dumb*** decisions. Chrysler wanted to use their own powertrain, cheaper but same horsepower/torque ratings. Nope.

This is slightly on topic, but I just wanted to say that the locals (Detroit Area) understood "Conner Assembly Plant" as the Jefferson North Assembly Plant.

People seriously believe that JNAP is the one that is closing. I wonder what can be done about this?

I doubt there is much that can be done. When JNAP continues to operate, they might get it.....a year from now.

Probably best to let time sort itself out. JNAP isn’t going anywhere.

I’d rather not speculate in that manner.

If that "future outcome" happens a lot more than Viper is going to be dead.

Sounds like a good place build a new Imperial with a turbo V6.

I don’t see how that could be justified. Way to many questions without answers.

    Sorry, just not realistic.

Mike, You are clearly very knowledgeable to what's happening within the company. Is there a Viper replacement in the plans?

Looks like Vipers farewell goodbye will be celebrated at Roadkill Nights on Woodward with a special cars and coffee and tour of Conner.
