So today John McElroy reported on Autoline Daily that when the Dodge Grand Caravan ends production in 2019 it will be replaced by a Dodge version of the Pacifica and will be called the Atlantis. I don't get it. If FCA is so gung-ho on brand identity with Dodge being the "performance" brand and Chrysler being the "mainstream people-mover" brand why would they give Dodge a new minivan? Minivans are hardly known for their performance attributes. If Dodge can have a people-mover why can't Chrysler have a performance car?
