As mentioned earlier in this thread. FCA has patened the name Atlantic. Will it be a Dodge? No, Atlantic does not fit the brand. If there is to be an FCA Atlantic, the only brand such a name fits is Chrysler, and Atlantic fits Chrysler very well. It especially fits with the new image of Chrysler that is being created (starting with Pacifica).

The "Airbump" are now at the base of the door in the C4.
Airbump are used in the new Citroen C3, but not in base trim levels.

I get it now! Pacifica - Atlantic!
No Chrysler Indian, I’d think, but maybe a Chrysler Mediterranean eventually... Chrysler Sargosy... hopefully not Chrysler Dead.

Atlantic was already used as the name of the widely popular concept from 1995 by Tom Gale and team...

    maxresdefault.jpg

Which was actually Tom Gale's take on a modern day 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC also called the Atlantic...

Only four were ever built. Including the one above owned by Ralph Lauren.

Dave, I hope you aren't serious that you just made the ocean connection and instead were just using that as a lead in to the humorous sea name bit. My guess is the theme will remain nautical for awhile, but not restricted to bodies of water.

The oceanic themes could continue without necessarily being named only after seas. Manta, for example...

I think the Guild started with the chassis of one of those when they were trying to build 1935 Aerolithe Coupe. [IMG]

So the Aspen had issues... a lot of car buyers were either kids or weren't even born then to remember that nowadays.

The younger generation, me included just remember the Aspen being one of the craziest debuts of any vehicle in Chrysler's history ever. There was those creepy clowns that they Cerberus errr Chrysler marketing team keep throwing at us with celebs and then the only thing that actually kept the debut from being on the border of a nightmare was the avalanche of paper to make it look like it was snowing. It was the year that made me question the marketing team and Jason Vines (who later resigned after disagreements with Bob Nardelli and the rest of the Cerberus heads)... but the snow storm was amazing...
