It's not a TV ad, it's two billboard trucks being towed in Vegas traffic one behind the other. One has a pic of the Challenger concept car, one has a pic of a Charger police car. It's cute, but no need for sweat.

Wasn't the SRT8 Charger only about $36K when it was released? I am sure the price has gone up a
grand or more by now, but... I hope the Challenger R/T with the reworked hemi will be able to go
head to head against a Mustang GT. The SRT may well be able to fight a Shelby, but I still think you
shoudl be able to get a 6.1-equipped Chally for somewhere in the mid 30s. Again, hoping that there
will be a way to get something bigger than the 5.7 in the R/T without having to pay for all the extra
goodies that come in the SRT. Maybe when the 6.4L is released the lineup will change!

Quick question, and I know we've talked about this before, but are we pretty set on the 6.4 being
the upcoming "big" hemi? If so, what of the stories of 6.6 or 7.2 (or 7.0 aka "426") hemis being
toyed with? If they are in the pipe, I hope they aren't doomed by the current political/economic
    climate...

PVOMan said repeatedly that there's a 6.9 under development, for use in special editions later in the model run. He also hinted that they might do one with a V10 at some point. 7.2 was supposedly proposed as a truck engine, but I think that isn't happening.

FWIW, PVOMan hasn't been heard from since the end of August. It's possible that he got in trouble for some of his posts.

I posted this to the Vegas thread, but it's worth reposting this excerpt here. A CDJ dealer employee spent some time with a preproduction Challenger at the dealer event in Vegas and posted this to a Camaro board this morning:

Interesting how he compares it size wise, to the recent GTO.

I thought the Challenger was suppose to be HUGE???.

BTW, I think the Monaro/GTO cuts a fairly aggressive presence on the road, particularly lowered with nice wheels.

Anyone know if the Chally is Export bound? Europe? Japan?....tho I guess not. :(

Oooooh that is low...hey Canada is in America!

During my daily Google news search lately articles say no export to Europe for Challenger.

There were a couple of people fishing around for info on PVOMan at the VCA forums. I wouldn't be surprised if he met with some flak for his posts.

I missed that. I know that there are Chrysler employees who monitor the SRTForums, though, and he dumped a LOT of info there.
