Probably not politically correct but, I would take #666 in Black PLEASE.
They'll make a KILLING if it's priced in the 30-32k range. At least starting off, I am willing to bet, that they won't make enough of them, they might as well take the extra 1-3 grand for each one - I am pretty sure they won't have any trouble getting it..
Color-corrected, very similar to this image (flopped here) I made and posted a while ago:
images of the Challenger Brochure
Are they the same lo-res pics shown on the previous page (that I color-corrected on this one) or are they are higher resolution and sharper?
very awesome! i hope the word 'fuel' really is on the production version. its these little details.....cant wait! R/T.. ugh
Yes, plus more images.
We will all see how this comes out, but mine is on order, orange with all 3 options, Z rated tires, sun roof, and MyGig/Nav. I am hoping for the best.
Congrats on the purchase....can't wait to see pics of it
anyone bidding? already on ebay, lets see how much people are willing to pay. read: the price posted is the price OVER the msrp!
I guess there are "better" images of the grill on dodge.com and the crosshair grill is GONE.
You know I generally like the cross hair grill! I like it on most of Dodge's cars, HOWEVER, it looked a bit out of place on the concept, like a definite afterthought. And at this point, I don't think they have to worry about any problem of identity, everyone knows what it is by now. I dig the final look of the grill in a big way..
We have not said what we are going to build," said Kathy Graham, Dodge Challenger public relations specialist, disputing the 5,000 volume number that keeps popping up in the media and on blogs. "We haven't decided yet. It will be less than 10,000."
There were 10 auctions on ebay for '08 Challey's all trying to get well over MSRP. The one I found more interesting than the others was item # 110203060268
He claims to have an early serial number car since he put his request in early on 12/3. It's VERY cool to see some of the dealer docs that ultimately are the broadcast sheet for the options.
IMHO I think the '08 cars will bring more cash once they arrive in the showroom in April. Most of the 08's will already be spoken for.
I'm very content waiting for a plum crazy pistol grip.
Part IV of the Dodge Challenger designer interviews has been posted. See:
For those of you who did not see Parts I-III, they can be seem at:
i wonder of those stripes are really carbon fiber and, if so, whether that means the entire hood is. I assumed that wouldn't make it to production and probably it didn't. NOT that it's too terribly important to me.
They are just "carbon-fiber" stickers, meaning they will just LOOK like carbon fiber... Sorta.
If you watch the video clips it is carbon fiber they just leave areas in grill and tail light areas along with hood area unpainted. That is if they stay with it. They bond the C.F. to the metal. "watch the video clips very informative. "
I understand that on the concept, the hood is carbon fiber where the body color is omitted, leaving the carbon fiber exposed as "stripes". The production version clearly is a sticker.
It is a sticker. If you look at the hi-rez shots, you can see that the "carbon fiber" areas are actually raised from the painted areas.
edit - sorry chazcron beat me to it.
