Wow--you've got some persecution complex there my friend. You should get that looked at before it gets out of hand.

What--I'm just lightening up like you suggested.

Are you talking about the current Charger? Didn't the '06 Charger start out as a two door coupe before they made it a four door?

um no, the Charger was always a 2-door(4-door since the 1999 concept form) The difference between the '99 and the '06 is that the '99s rear doors look more concealed and it's more swoopy than the '06.

I thought the '80's ones were technically 3 doors? They were hatchbacks after all... < /nitpicky >

Yes, this is the only reason I'm going to the autoshow. Usually it sucks a lot out here.

Man, she is worth the trip... she is a beautiful car. You will be awestruck, she looks a lot better in person. The pictures don't do her justice.

what the heck is the deal (if correct) with the Challenger being manual only for the first year? No way would I ever buy a manual car if I planned on driving it much, and I plan on driving the Challenger, a lot.

Even the Challenger isn't worth that much hassle.

Well, I probably didn't want to buy a first year one anyway.

Awesome. Maybe I'll have to go more than once this year.

Unless you are physically incapable of driving a stick, you are missing out on a huge part of the driving experience. Manual's are not that much of a hassle to use in daily driving. Unless all your driving is in NYC or something, then I guess I'd understand.

I agree. I've been quiet through this whole "Why are they building it with a manual?" discussion. For me anyway, this is a huge selling point for me. I really enjoy driving my Magnum, but the automatic transmission can be frustrating, and that's only with 340 HP. Things like hitting the right shift points, knowing what gear you are in when you really want to punch it, and just the fun of running through the gears off the line are important to me. With 425+, an automatic would be flat out aggrevating. Not to mention I have had a couple of times where the car wouldn't upshift after downshifting with the auto-stick.

The Dodge Challenger concept car is now on display at the Chicago Auto Show, but the hot muscle car will be making the rounds on this year' s auto show circuit.

Here's are the Challengers next few auto show stops:

    Cleveland: Feb. 25-Mar. 5

    Kansas City: Mar. 9-12

    Minnesota: Mar. 11-19

    Denver: Mar. 29-Apr. 2

    New York City: Apr. 14-23

    Atlanta: Apr. 29-May 7

Any idea if it is going to the show in Toronto?

Apparently, Bob has become a troll here. I think he either needs to quit posting, or receive a warning. This crap would not fly with anyone else.

We don't need someone holding their "superior knowledge" over our heads, and threatening us that he may stop posting......and then making posts about he gets a kick out of reading how stupid we all are.

Post meaningful comments relative to the topics, or take your elitist attitude somewhere else.
