One of my fellow DAMM (Detroit Area Modern Mopar) members, Kyle Charles spotted this Durango SRT mule this morning near Auburn Hills.

So my fellow Southeastern Michiganders, keep your eyes open!

Nothing a Z Automotive Tazer can't fix... I got one for my 2014 Dodge Charger R/T Plus AWD Sport. Also allows me to add line lock and to make my car forced into RWD or full-time AWD. It's popular with GC SRT owners.

    SRT/D
    Super Race Track Durango

I can hear it now...... Meanwhile, overheard at the local drag-strip..... "I just got wasted by a blankity-blank SUV"! It HAD to have nitrous...... no way it busted my GT/Camaro in stock form.....".

Well dang looks like that Tazer works...but I still would rather have the lighter, less maintenance and less complicated 2wd version.

The tires (265's) on the back of that mule look the same size as the ones on my 2014 Durango R/T?

The tires are definitely larger than 265. Likely the same 295s that are on GC SRT

I'm a big fan of the Durango and I would be extremely happy to see a SRT version. I think the platform deserves a SRT and it's over due.

@redriderbob - can you please confirm whether these SRT Durangos have a T-shifter instead of the rotary dial? The dial never seemed to fit the style of a Durango, and a T-shifter would be much more in-line with Dodge IMO.

I disagree... I am very happy with "the knob" in my Durango.

I would love to have the knob in my Charger.

Wow. I could not disagree more. I want a performance vehicle to have a performance shifter I can a) rest my hand on b) use for shift-tronic. That really surprises me.

From what I hear it is the knob. I agree with you, I like resting my hand on the shifter as well.

Yes, I think having the shifter would be better. That rotary dial seems to easy to put in the wrong gear, by accident?

Performance vehicles require both hands on the wheel ;)

There are shift paddles there for a reason.
