See I told y'all it would be shown soon
Will MSRP be announced this Thursday?
Still not sure. It's doubtful.
I really didn't think I could get all this excited about a non-Hellcat SUV, but...that got the heart pumping. I really like where they have been going with the current-gen Durango and this looks very impressive. I wasn't expecting the overall styling to look quite that fluid, and that SRT hood really does look good on just about everything, doesn't it?!
Thank you very much for taking the time to post the pictures and the write up.
I for one am very impressed. It's a beautiful vehicle. You can see the thought from end to end, inside and out. I look forward to seeing it in the other different colours - especially the reds. Again, thank you for posting the details and the many many great pictures.
And yes, this is my next vehicle.
Wait till you guys see this beast in person!
Best looking thing to come out of JNAP by far!
hoping they are not 75 grand, have been looking at durangos and like the way they look and drive, have a challenger hellcat don't want another 70 k vehicle, unless the wife cant live without it
Wow, excellent job SRT group!
I was expecting just a 3 row JGC, but the interior is unique and looks awesome and LOVE they gave it more towing!
That 4 wheel burnout was EPIC as my kids say..LOL!
Ugh... fine I will start saving my pennies. Guess I will tell my wife the bad news she doesn't get a christmas vacation this year.
The rest of Durango models supposed to get a refresh for MY18...
Is that still on schedule or has it been pushed to MY19?
That stitched dash tho
I was wondering what that //4 badge was all about - cool!
Maybe I missed it but I didn't see a mention on the wheel width specs. Are they 20x10 just like the grand Cherokee SRTs?
Also one of the bullets above mentions
New wide body exterior brings the Durango SRT together as a true performance SUV
Can someone expand more on the wide body details?
I'm just gonna throw this out there. The weight distribution is 52/48 compared to 55/45 for GC SRT. I know the curb weight is allegedly 5140 for the GC, but they usually come in around 5300. So approx 200lbs increase, but near 50/50 wwight distro. This could be a much better track vehicle.
The longer wheelbase isn't a bad thing either.
FCA saved big time on R&D cost by simply putting the GC SRT392 Powertrain into the Durango.
Good for SRT to have another vehicle... but I'm still satisfied buying the GC instead.
Your GC SRT is perfect for you... for me, the three rows are welcome
I may buy a 69 Super Bee this weekend instead of a Hellcat and just wait for a Durango SRT to fall in my lap.
That 8600lb tow capacity would help haul that Bee to the track and back.
Car and Driver actually had something nice to say..
'It's a lot like the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, only with a third-row seat and Dodge good looks.'
It's been going over really well and rightfully so. The interior is just as beautiful as the exterior. Well done!
Not too mention, I would of died to have a vehicle that went into the 12's in the quarter mile when I was 16...
I can't wait to see it in Granite Crystal.
