As much as I'd love for "Dodge Hornet" to be the Avenger replacement, it's much more likely to be whatever is replacing the Journey.

A Hornet motorcar would be perfect for the new, upcoming in-line six cylinder.
    Shades of the Twin-H.
Everything old is new again. :D

I'm pretty impressed at how well this design held up. Aside from the front fender bulges, which are a bit dated now, the overall shape and interior design held up quite well.

Besides the AMC connection, Hornet follows a Dodge tradition to name models and engines after war planes. This is the Hornet fighter jet.

Since we are speculating, perhaps Dodge Hornet will be the next Fiat 124 Spider, now that Fiat officially pulled the plug on Spider, and Fiat thinks it is going to go all-electric. Also, I found it interesting that Fiat would choose North America to be Spider’s last remaining market for 2020.

I doubt a Mazda-based Dodge roadster would retain the Fiat 1.4T motor, though. As much as I love that little engine, sharing the new MX-5 2.0 4-cyl engine would likely reduce costs due to added parts sharing, and from not having to ship motors back-and-forth.

To the above, this was a fun car!! 360 4bbl. A modern version would be nice. l am so tired of all these tall cars, and there may be light at the end of the tunnel.
Sales of SUVs and off road vehicles fell by 10% in Germany in February. :D

I think the concept nailed it. Two box hatch, light nimble. Fwd turbo small displacement. buzzing exhaust, manual trans manual steering. Let the aftermarket begin. Race seats, adjustable shocks, camber. Computer swap to increase boost, carbon fiber trim everything.
Doesn’t need to be the fastest, but affordable and a hoot to drive.

First car less the 360 .... more a 232 but a good car nonetheless. 74 2dr just like this in forest green. Valves ticked like a mother no matter how much my dad and I tried to adjust. His solution was to tap into the oil pressure sending unit and directly jet oil onto the top of every rocker arm. Looked crazy but sure did work.

I want a smooth, quiet, fast, solid, well handeling sub compact. Want to scoot around saving fuel car with reasonable storage for beach gear or rc airplanes. B just for me cause my honey would never get int anything like that.

Man I gotta slow down when I'm skimming the net. I swear I thought it said Coronet, not Hornet.
