How was the hood supposed to open?
Grille on the concept lifted up with the hood where the production model didn't...
From a functional standpoint, i'm glad they went with the production way of doing things. How many times would you have hit your head on that massive overhang? lol
Visually though, it looks better without the cut for the large as hell fascia.
I think it's going to be a huge hit. Should fly off dealer lots.
I think so too but I just cant wait that long. I think I will get a refreshed Cherokee this summer and then trade for this car in a few years. Maybe by then they will have a SRT model!
This is kinda my plan too.
Would love to finally own an SRT
Me too. I am a fan but.. Nothing they make fits my needs or wants. Well maybe the Durango or GC but they are a bit bigger than I am looking for. Dodge probably could have sold me a Dart SRT 3 years ago when I bought my VW Jetta GLI.
I see what you did there.
It will get the 2.0T, but you will pay for it. I have a feeling you could be seeing a $35-37k sticker with this, fully loaded.
This will basically be $3-4K/cheaper than an Alfa on the sticker side. Don't expect more than that. The days of an 'economical' or 'value oriented' FCA are over. It's all about profit.
It’s gonna come down to competition. Why would someone move to fca when ford or Subaru have a better history for quality. As it sits now fca as a whole sells because they’ll finance anyone and their prices are competitive. If it’s not competitive for this car it’s honna fail
Because Dodge is a performance brand. People seeking performance aren't nearly as concerned with quality. We can labor over this point for many, many pages but the people buying Chargers/Challengers with subprime credit aren't focused on quality. Don't underestimate the size of this group.
Anyone buying a car wants so form of quality. If not you’re buying a car that’s gonna be on the shop a poopies ton. I’ve read enough forms and post to see people that will no longer buy fca because their hellcat was in the shop for 90% of their ownership.
just curious--where have you read this? I practically live on these boards and I haven't seen anything of the sort. Not saying your wrong, wondering if I've missed out on this discussion.
I thought that was the 2018 Subaru Outback
Depends on a few things... .there are some trick components and weight saving measures that on in the Alfa that could be forgone on the Dodge that will help save more that.
and yes the days of Chrysler teetering on the brink having to drop margins to cover fixed costs are gone. As a consumer not the best, but as a supporter thank heavens.
I thought I would toss that in, since another tidbit I snuck in somewhere flew right by everyone.
Stop it. You are going to create a Buzz....
Not these forms, but there is a whole thread on these forms talking about the quality of our cars and dealers and how is scares people away. I'm talking other forms/ car specific forms. Hellcat facebook has a good majority or either really great time with their car or a poopies time and they end up wanting to get rid of it after some time
