If the interior and options are up to par I would not have an issue paying that much for this. Heck the Cherokee I am looking at is going to be that much.

Something to do with f22 styling and the fact that they are aircraft?

Reality is anything priced under that is pr-conceived to be a cheap piece of junk. It just better have the guts to be worth it and sounds like it will.

So far from the hints I assume it'll look like the pic, be called Hornet and even be optional with Hemi power.

If it has a Hemi option I would be seriously surprised. GME T6 would be my guess for the top engine choice but only if it were in SRT trim.

Oh20 made reference to the hemi in a hint post. Also, it'll be aimed as an American competitor to vehicles like the Audi SQ5. 354hp, 369tq.

Even so, Audi gets 354/369 with a V6. What makes you think Dodge needs a Hemi to make that kind of power? The GME T6 will be more than capable of those numbers.

Would is actuly be cheaper when it’s no longer an engine being made or close to no longer being made?

The Challenger and Charger R/T or SRT buyer isn't a subprime buyer. Challenger or Charger SE (or whatever the base model is called now) does draw more subprime buyers. Magnum typically followed the same pattern. With 300, it was always a more affluent crowd, at least when I was still working for a CJD dealer.

Where you do see the subprime buyers dominate is on the secondary market, where Charger especially is a popular choice. Let's face it, it's a lot more car than a Altima, Impala, or Fusion, which are typically the only other choices for those buyers if they want a traditional sedan.

I would also argue that "performance" shoppers do care about quality, but are more forgiving on the minor glitches, much in the same way that Jeep buyers are.

Hornet would of been a good name for the Fiat 124 Spider that should of been a Dodge...but that is a discussion for another thread...

Magnum, I would assume would be the "go to" name for a Stelvio based Dodge CUV/SUV.

It would sure be selling better right now as a Dodge, and I don't think anyone can debate that.

Niche class... even the Mazda doesn't to big numbers, but yes a expanded dealer network always helps.... in time the mistake not to just go directly to CDJRF will take some time to correct.... but it is moving that way.....

what I continue to find funny is on pure driving feel the press picks the Mazda, but it gets beat on the track every time by the Fiat.

Not so much in the European media. Fiat often wins both on fun factor and speed.
