    Isn’t that a UK site? It’s April’s Fool’s Day there already...

I don't even care that it's an April Fool joke...I still like the ideas anyway.

Obviously, the author of that piece demonstrates a brighter bolder vision than the current Powers That Be at Dodge.

Electric isn't the savior of all things automotive. Or ecological.

It’s not a savior buts it’s the future. I loved my 2020 Ram and 2016 Charger. The Charger was replaced with a Model 3 Performance and everything else feels like it’s light years behind. In 95% of driving scenarios the only thing a Hellcat has the advantage is the V8 sound. The Tesla will rip your head off without even trying. Obviously my truck is much nicer inside wise but the driving experience in the Tesla makes me really want to buy a. Ugly CyberTruck.... the experience is that good.

Yes, I hear that in my consumer research: EV owners have a hard time going “back” to ICE.

It would be like the rest of us going “back” to steam.

    Enjoy!

I'll go electric when they make them with a stick shift ;)

Electric vehicles do have a nice power response. If I drove to work each day I'd probably have gone electric already. As it is, I drive little enough that I want each drive to be as enjoyable as possible, within the constraint of wanting my car to be capable of a little less performance than I am so I can push its limits.

That's actually possible; there's a kit-maker (make electric conversions) that is compatible with a manual transmission. I'd love to give that truck (their shop truck) a test drive, and maybe convert one of the Neons. Too bad I'm across the country from them now.

Polution is down with everyone off the road except Chicago 60 car pileup, what are all those people doing on the road? Maybe it took 20 minutes to accumulate careless drivers. Saw one starting in NJ way back when, my Dodge Shelby amazed me and got me through it.

I am so ready for sn electric.

A mid size car isn't going to sell well enough at all to justify, just look at all the ones that were hot sellers that have lost a ton of sales or even dead now

I recall watching a show about Nikola Tesla. It said something about him saying Electricity is Everywhere and free for the taking. He was working on things like that. When he died the Government came in took all his papers and ran. Can't give things to benefit human kind without charging them. I won't say I'll never have an electric vehicle but only because never is a long time

When he died, he had lost his mind. There's a cult now around how great he was, but it's very much hyperbole. You can read his autobiography to get a better idea of where he was. One word that does not describe Tesla was “modest.” It was a time of huge claims and some of his claims were ... unsupportable. More to the point, you see him now in a variety of TV programs where he is modest and The World’s Greatest Everything Who Invented Computers, Radio, BlueTooth, Long-Distance Charging, and Electricity....

Probably 2-3 years from now. That should give the automakers time to release some with better range and for more charging stations to appear.
