Some surprises! Spied: Jeep “K8” (at http://www.allpar.com/news/2017/04/spied-jeep-k8-37073 )
Take my money...
Well, Howdy-do... Looks promising.
So it is the shortened crossover version of the Chrysler Pacifica. Makes sense since the plugin hybrid version of the K8.
Well lets look at the back window line.... do I see a little Pacifica... Well I sure do.
And some Compass too. There are a few hints at the Cherokee refresh too, but the Cherokee has its own styling.
I looked a the window line because that would be a hard point, where the individual stampings tools for China can add Jeep characteristics easily. and yeah see the than what you mentioned in the plastic and stampings.
Just thinking ahead here
Oh we are on the same page
Curious thing though, would the Cherokee switch to a lone engine if the 2.0T gets better gas mileage than the 2.4L & 3.2L V6 based on what we see here? I mean, it will supposedly have every advanced feature under the FCA banner for engine tech. Also, reading the last line of the article, Allpar seems to think a US spec version of this is in the works. It could be an easy squeeze into the lineup.
Why China only, though?
3-row SUVs are well appreciated elsewhere too, why not US or EU (even if Chrysler will have one)?
Put a Chrysler front clip on, change the name to "Adventurer", and start the ball rolling FINALLY! (You could save the name "Town & Country" for the full-sized version)
Look good, glad to see Jeep design stretching its legs... looks a lot like the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee design. Looks a bit more upscale, do I dare say Land Rover-ish?
I like it. It really looks very attractive. But what I want to see is a revolution in interior design. Jeep needs something new there.
How about Voyager? *ducks*
First, I fixed the story byline - Mike Volkmann gets full credit.
Second, ... CUSW always seems to have room for a V6 up front. They could save weight, at the cost of fewer shared parts and more engineering time, if they made it four-cylinder only.
V-6 torque at low rpm, is nice in say a Trailhawk model. But alias China is market where the regulate through displacement.
What 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee design???
Low? What's low?
I will always choose turbo 4 for daily driving.
