Been having some odd issues that almost seems like its creeping around the car, its my rear windows and my automatic trunk lid pulldown that are inoperable. I've took the time to replace the switch and motor for my trunk pulldown which does indeed work when electricity is applied from an external source but whenever it is wired to the car is heats up like a frying pan and ceases to operate normally. Same goes for my rear windows and I am trying to figure out what there is to be done, any help is appreciated

I the motor is getting hot, it would seem that power is constantly applied to the motor when it should be cut off
The service manual is available on line:
Power locks and trunk pull down:

    Power windows:

    General wiring diagrams:

My worry would be if these circuits run through the body computer then that may be the problem.

Stupid question, I'm sure, but are you using the same gauge wire? If you're using too small of a gauge, it will, indeed, heat things up. It might even melt the insulation if you don't disconnect it.
