In a way, you kinda answered your own question. GM is nothing more than your typical school yard bully. It's far easier to pick on FCA than it would Japan, Inc.

    LOL

Reading into the details of the bombshell lawsuit, GM's lawyers did their homework. And it's a good bet they used information from their former employee, Iacobelli. The lawsuit names Iacobelli 66 times in 95 pages. Curiously, when describing Iacobelli's role at FCA, GM's lawyers neglected to mention that he worked for GM after his criminal activity took place.

If true, a good FCA lawyer should be able to make something out of that.

The article is wrong as Ram was spun off Dodge before Fiat got control I've been told. Not being a part of Dodge has nothing to do with why sales are rising in my opinion. If I ever get a Ram I will put huge Dodge decals on it immediately even if its "wrong" lol

Well, but doesn't that mean they might have gotten a lot of information from him? Still needs to be shown what they got from him is all true. Anyone know when they have to show the first evidence? What irony though that one of the two company's bailed out has the potential of (majorly) harming the other one through a major lawsuit...

In the end, all this is about is money. GM thought they would be cute and dump Opel on Peugeot. As it turned out it was GM, not Opel that was keeping it from turning a profit. Lots of egg on their face.

More like cream pies on the face. ;)

Edit: On second thoughts, more like a prank going on against the prankster (with some rare times on Harvey Kneeslapper on Sesame Street) and Will E. Coyote's traps blowing on himself. ;)

I am always a little bit careful in judging that. For example, did GM keep certain pension obligations or something along thos lines? Or was it a straight transfer?

I'm sure GM isn't too keen on a PSA-FCA tie-up especially given Opel and PSA's resurgence, plus RAM stealing their proverbial lunch money.

The amazing part being that FCA had such labor cost advantage that the Dart and 200 were so successful that they had to discontinue them...

If one thinks about it, what are the overlapping U.S. products that compete? Not the Wrangler. Then you just have the Cherokees left and a portion of the trucks, no?

As provided by Stephanie Dumas: www.autoextremist.com ...do you THINK he's on to something here? From our own armchairs, have you ever raised an eyebrow at any of the wranglings of S Marchione?? Just wondering what the unfeathered options of fellow ALPARIANS might be...

Unlike Ghosn, Sergio can't defend himself. Some of this is probably true, but is holding the whole company hostage for money, is that right as well? Or should the company weed out every one that was involved? Or all all that were involved weeded out? Many unanswered questions.

We have to check also if Mary Barra is white as snow as she claimed. There's some Spider-sense tingling because she might be not.
