I'm intrigued. I looked at a Grand Cherokee from that era when I was truck shopping a year ago. Ad said nearly rust free, pictures looked clean. I went to look at it, and their definition of nearly rust free and mine were clearly different. I left disappointed, but not shocked.

The manager of the Autozone by me has such a monster she and her boyfriend has worked on herself. Its in the "looks pieced together" stage but she assures me, it won't look that way for long. Its not bad looking.

they should do that to a new Cherokee. I prefer a Pacifica base truck.
we need a real truck instead of a 50 grand Gladiator

Ram is way to big. America needs a mid size pickup with 4 ft between the wheel wells with a low load hieght, you know something like a 2000 Dakato except for the 4 ft.. Priced around 20 grand so the working man can afford it.

America does have mid-size pickups for around $20k, just none sold by FCA.

Here's a couple more besides the Nissan
    Chevrolet Colorado.
Base MSRP $21,300 plus $1095 destination minus $2750 incentives, nets to $19,645.
Or the GMC Colorado which nets out to $20,545.And there would still be some dealing room on these.

A quick search on cars.com shows 20 under $22k within 100 miles of my location in northern Wisconsin, including a few under $20k.;)

If you really want one, and aren't posting just to be complaining, you can find one to buy. Most around me are 4x4, but there are base 2wds to be had.
