    The article also mentions Hemi and 440 engine options....were any built with anything other than the 340?
    Probably my favorite Chally version due to the lighter weight and potent small block...and cool side exit exhaust.

    The T/A always had the 340-6 engine, no other option was available.
    Supposedly if it had been offered for 1971, a 340-4 engine may have been used. Supposedly this new air cleaner assembly made it into the 1971 parts book.

    No but you just reminded me of one I saw for sale in the early 90's. It was a 70 T/A for sale with a 440-6 swap, for like $4000.

    The article was correct but misleading. The memo called for a 340 four-barrel. It was not produced. It also called for optional engines which were not approved. I updated the news story.
