I think it's one of these three guesses:
    262, 264, 266

Those or 260. Or 280, but I don't think it'll be 280 based on a few comments Mike and Redriderbob have made.

The suspense is killing all of us! Hopefully the true numbers will be release soon, along with the torque curve. I'd love to also see the torque curve of the V6 as a comparison, especially down the low RPM range where it counts.

Yeah, this is what I'm interested in the most. How it compares to the V6 in HP/ft-lbs/torque curve/cost/MPGs

Longer post that I was hoping for. I started to quote these but that was going to take forever.
Here's how the list of numbers can be whittled down.
Post #68 by Redriderbob responds to Hemidakota's question about "all even numbers". Redriderbob said yes to horsepower, no to torque. That throws it into 260's, 280's or 300's.
#51 RRB says more than 260.
#57 RRB in response to HemiDakota says less than 297.

That brings the options down to 280's and 260's.
    Post #60 eliminates 284. #66 eliminates 288. #71 eliminates 286.
In post #76 RRB said no to Hemidakota's guess of 282 hp, 384 tq. Was that for both numbers? I'm guessing so.

In the other torque thread on post #51 in response to ChinoJL's guess of 278 hp and 290 tq RRB responded with "one is to high, the other is to low.

On post #11 RRB posted horsepower for the 2.0 ecoboost (237), and 2.0 GM (270).

Post #15 said something to the effect of "you might be disappointed in the horsepower, but the torque is amazing", in response to 285hp. #62 had a similar statement of "well equipped in hp, leader in tq".

Well equipped means its not the leader. That whittles the numbers down to 262, 264, 266, or 268.

Go back over to the tq thread.
Post #21 in response to 268 hp, 310. One is correct, the other is way off.
#48 in response to 282, 311tq. Both are to high.
#52 responding to DarkSky's 288 hp, 295 tq. "Not all of those numbers are correct". Which I find a bit funny. I interpret that to mean one of those is correct.
    #54 responding to metalicca's 268, 300. "Warmer"

268 has been guessed a few times, but it's always with a torque number and it gets shot down because the entire statement isnt correct. But either 268 hp is correct or 310 tq is correct. One is way off. After whittling the horsepower down to 262-268 I'm going with 268, because 262 is not way off from 268.

This is also the base engine.

All that to say, I'm guessing 268 hp and 295 tq.
