    Work
I'm in the rental car business as a purchasing agent & we were advised against ordering these.
Given there little product support or advertising it's assumed in our industry that FCA has walked away from the Pacifica.

Your rental car business people need to lay off whatever you guys are smoking. Little advertising? Do you guys not pay attention at all? I've seen more pacifia commercials recently then jeep and dodge

I read the technology when it surfaced. Japanese are famous of touting until a road test. But again, anything to keep the gasoline variant alive. LOL

That's a poor assumption to make. Pacifica has been a strong seller and is basically the new face of the Chrysler brand.

Not to pick on you, but this is a good example of why I get so frustrated with the "FCA is doing great, just look at the stock!" gang. A purchasing agent in the fleet business reports that he and his colleges think the Pacifica is going to be discontinued in a year. People won't shop for vehicles they think are going away and the business ain't built on stock, it's built on selling product.

The only reason to discontinue the Pacifica would be because a potential buyer for FCA has a similar product.
You have to admit a deal with Hyundai results in a great product portfolio with little overlap, minivans being one.
JLR buys Maserati and Alfa, picks up Ducati from VW Group.

Chrysler walking away from the minivan game especially at this point is equivalent to GMC leaving the pickup truck game or Jeep leaving the SUV segment. I don't believe it'll happen unless the whole company folds.

My guess is FCA has no interest in discounting Pacifica, yet. The vehicle clearly has a premium positioning, and is doing very well so far. With the focus on margins, and Pacifica sales keeping a nice pace, there's no incentive to sell to fleet at the moment. But that may change if Pacifica sales fail to meet targets in years 3, 4 or 5.

Chrysler has done a thorough job with Pacifica's product development and with its positioning. It now needs to sustain marketing presence to help Pacifica maintain a nice momentum throughout the length of its product cycle. As long as Chrysler keeps doing that, it should see little need to resort to fleet sales.

Makes complete sense. They have a fleet minivan. It's the Dodge Caravan. No sense in making a fleet out of the Pacifica.

Unless people want to rent a more modern minivan.

I understand the bulk of them should be Grand Caravan but Pacifica needs to have some presence in the rental fleets.

I like Hyundai’s “I almost had to buy a minivan” commercial.

...minus the low entry height, Stow 'N Go, sliding side doors, and flat cargo area.

    .

I'm guessing I'm the only one on Allpar who overtly states his preference for the Minivan architecture as a go-to vehicle.

I'm also guessing I'm the only one on Allpar who'd actually Like to see something really close to the old school Trans-Am series ( circa late 60's through the 70's ) dedicated to the USA Minivan Segment. Road course racing.

Imagine race-prepped Minivans pushed to the limit.

There's Chrysler, Honda, Kia and Toyota - unsure if there are others - each are following the same template in basic wheelbase, length, width and height - close in weight and nearly identical displacement V6es.

And there's a whole 'lotta room for sponsor decals :p

I can see the badge now : SRT 8 (passenger) ...

When that happens, watch a promising bump in sales when they offer the first Twin-Turbo Minivans.
