I was skeptical at first. However, they would not debut this concept on the same day as the Bronco and then decide not to build it. They are preheating the oven, demand is there, they just need a little push to do it. Guys, let Jeep know you want this to happen. Personally, I think they have already decided.

Its now or never for Jeep on this....we know the future is going to be smaller and less ICE and more electric.

Sadly, the 5.7 is now a dinosaur.. it barely beats the 3.6 now as far as effectiveness.

So, as the saying goes.. go big or go home.
    MOPAR chooses to go big.

    It's party time!

It looks like they're about to bake another delicious cake for Jeep.

And meanwhile, Chrysler, Dodge, and Lancia are left with stale moldy crumbs.

I agree, but I would still take the 5.7l from my ram in a gladiator. It would be a blast!

good for jeep for taking it to the next level!!!!!

I love the idea of a 392 Wrangler but...damn the Bronco looks so good I'm not even sure I care.

If experience has taught us nothing else over the last few years, it's that with FCA it's not official until it's official. And even then, I have a healthy dose of skepticism until it's rolling off the line.

    Really?
Bronco is taking a beating online.

I believe many are seeing it as a still born Toyota FJ wanna be.

    Time till tell.
Certainly not the best time to release something new.

Funny, the websites I'm on are all praising it. And Ford's reservation site is getting hammered.

Who knows. The currant Wrangler,Gladiator may have been designed to be capable of taking a 5.7 ot 6.4. The Bronco was being designed when the Wrangler was being designed also. So who knows. And if the engine bay can take a new I6 vould it fit the Hemi?

Seems to me the new Bronco is as good and as close a competitor to the Jeep Wrangler as there has ever been. It looks to be a worthy option for buyers.

We knew JK couldn't accommodate the 3.0 V6 diesel engine, but then JL offered it. If you're going to go to the considerable cost of rearranging an engine bay, and you know there's a market for a V8 Wrangler...

Personally I'd be fine with a 5.7 Gladiator. Why? Even if the build cost for FCA is the similar, the 392 implies a premium price. And when EPA ratings are so critical they force a 2.0T on many Wrangler buyers, the 5.7 might get just a bit better MPGs.

I saw the Bronco reviews yesterday. Looks like Ford did its homework: this is the most serious attempt to give Wrangler some competition, and competition is good.

But I didn’t see anything on Bronco that would make me want to trade my Wrangler. The styling is cool, but so is Wrangler’s; and the optional 35” tires can be easily added to a Wrangler. If I was a Ford loyal perhaps I’d see value in the blue oval, but I’m not.

That 392 makes me want to trade my JL more than Bronco does.

    But most likely I won’t...

I wasn't excited about or interested in the Bronco at all but I actually really like it...

I wonder how easy or difficult it will be to lift the new Bronco.

The 3rd most common complaint on Toyota Tacoma forums, after the atrocious automatic transmission and driving position, was from owners struggling with front alignment issues after lifting their trucks.

It appears something about IFS makes lifting those trucks a bit tricky. I don’t know if this is something unique to Tacomas or common on all IFS trucks, including Bronco.
