I saw that - wow. Nothing matters like the stock matters... long term company survival? Nah. Jobs? Nope. Creating a brand new and intensely valuable Bronco lineup? move along.

Not that Peter DeLorenzo was a fan of SM either for example but I remember seeing him in an interview or reading one of his opinions this past year and it seems like for some reason he is no fan of Farley... (I think it was about too much marketing and too little operations?).

Update: didn't take him long to comment via his web site (autoextremist.com). Not very favorable but then again I had a different opinion about SM than him...

Hackett is turning 65; so most likely he is being asked to retire.

Most of what I have heard of Farley hasn’t been very positive. Apparently he is very good at marketing. But in common Ford practice, he has been groomed into a self-centered, know-it-all SOB who thinks he can’t do anything wrong.

Apparently Ford didn’t learn squat from the Mark Fields fiasco.

True enough...Hackett is approaching retirement age. But...If they still wanted him, he would still be there.

And Jim Farley was cousin of the late comedian Chris Farley. A man who can build a car by hand leads Ford into future; 'He’s just never afraid' (at https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/ford/2019/06/19/ford-executive-jim-farley-toyota/1299871001/ )
