Well, I called Dodge and found out I'm actually the 4th owner of this van. So, obviously the guy I got it from was lied to from the guy he got it from. The previous owner told me that the man he bought it from told him that he'd bought it brand new. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. But the call wasn't a total waste of time. I did find out there's an outstanding recall on it for the clockspring. I haven't had any trouble out of my cruise control (works great) or horn (ditto), but the young lady I spoke with told me this concerns the airbags. Should I take it the 80 mile round trip to the nearest dealer and have this done? I'm a little paranoid now, wondering if I get into an accident like happened with my Caliber, if the air bags will deploy properly. What do y'all think? Oh, BTW, they were happy to hear that I've surpassed 191,000 miles with it, but won't give me the license plate frame. Bummer.

I'd first call the dealer and make sure they have the required parts and time needed to perform the recall repair, and then schedule to my convenience.

Hmm. Maybe Allpar needs to come up with plate frames for our own High-Milers Club. ;)

We've talked about it... a decal would be a lot more practical for us...

Could always go the CafePress route...

    (I think I've moved 2 or 3 over 10 years. :p)

I wasn't impressed with the quality when I got one last. It was all too clearly a generic frame with a plasticized label stuck on it. That said, it's survived for six years -- most of the time, hiding in a garage.

The same could be said for most CafePress stuff, but I digress.

...and they normally will not reproduce anything with a brand name in it, such as Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep.

Unless you own the name or logo in question. Like Dave does with Allpar.

    Well, poop.
Odd, because the VIN report I have shows that I'm only the second owner. Ah, well, I suppose it could be wrong.

That's a shame, Strat, as your Caravan is a great example of Chrysler longevity!

Go online and make up your own tag frame. There are places that you can do that for under 20 bucks.

I received my 300,000 plate holder for my 2001 Durango this past week.
Very nice touch Chrysler does sending these out along with a nice letter...however, too bad I can't actually put it on my truck as it hides the registration sticker on the license plate and as such is a magnet to be pulled over by police.

The holder needs to be slighty redesigned on the bottom end so we can actually use it. I'm not too keen to try and modify it as I'm afraid it will end up breaking.

Chrysler, please work with your supplier to address this.

Darn, so this doesn't count for my company truck? I'm in a 2012 (Feb), I should have 100Kon by Dec. The LEasing company we use owns it, though.

As Strat noted earlier, you have to be the original buyer or 2nd owner to qualify. Since you only use your company truck and do not own it, you don't qualify.

I already have a 100,000 mile frame for my Ram. Getting close to 200,000 - she's about to roll over 170,000 in the next week or so.

My Dart is only at 1,500 miles right now but I plan on keeping it a long time and up to at least 100,000-200,000 miles! :) It will be a fun journey!

My 2000 300 M just hit the 170,000 mile mark. Needs work but still starts and runs.

My dads 99 Dakota V-6 hit the 200,000 mile mark. Asked him when he plans on getting rid of it he said "why? it still looks and runs good and everything works on it so why get rid of it"?

Well my Caravan died a few months back--transmission gave up. I don't have the money to fix it. It died at about 206k miles on it. It hasn't been junked yet so who knows!!
