More importantly, what product replaces the one that used the 4 speed auto?

Wow, 32 years! Just think, the first 8 years were just getting that transmission to work correctly.:p

How long have we had the 9-speed?

Journey. So either they are ending production of it as well or they've changed their minds and its available with something besides the 2.4 I4 and the 4 speed transmission. I believe it was previously announced that this combo was the only one available for the 2020 model year.

Pretty sure I read that Journey is finishing up in Toluca. 500 ended last year, so that leaves Compass, and Compass production will drop a little now that European buyers can source their cars from Melfi instead (Custom-ordering is very common in Europe, but the 15-week transport time from Mexico made it unattractive for Compass).

What will come to Toluca? I think that something will. Maybe one if not two new products. I'm not sure if Tofas has exclusive rights for Doblo production.

15 weeks for transport from Mexico? It's more like 15 days. Dunno where they've lost additional time.

My mistake to say transport, it's fifteen weeks total lead time on custom orders. That includes production scheduling time, time in the holding yard at factory, ground transit in Mexico, time on docks, and yes the two weeks or so that the vehicles spend on a boat...

The upper limit in Europe is thirteen weeks, but is usually 8-10 except for models on backorder.

I sure hope so. It's reputation has been cast in stone since it's introduction.

I think only the Promaster uses the 6 speed.

The 10 speed has issues a lot like the zf 9 speed, too many gears with too much gear hunting for both gm and ford. It good for performance but it like to hunt for gears a ton and just like fca it sits in weird gears when you're just cruising at a constant speed. If I had to guess their 9 speed is probably very much the same if the 10 speed has that issue.

A cousin of mine has a new 2020 Super Duty with the 10sp and a V8 gas. Even with 10 speeds it still gets rotten gas mileage. He complains and he's a Ford guy.
