That’s a fairly blanket statement. What part do you not agree with?

You comment contradicts this comment from earlier in the thread

My comment that you “don’t agree with” was specifically written to defend your comment about “Chrysler shining again”.

Maybe he does expect 1 or more concept vehicles to be presented at upcoming car shows?

Maybe so... but I still do not expect 90’s level of concepts (a new concept or two at every major auto show). The hayday of concepts is long past.

We might have an outstanding concept, in fact we have more than one, but it all depends if our boss changes the way he thinks.
Chrysler is in the need to shine again, we need more than horsepower to shine in the market, the consumer expects more from us, we can't continue with the same formula to sell our products.
We need new and fresh products, we can't keep delaying future products.
    My opinion.

Agreed but the Capacity shuffle was the first step to being able to have that happen. New products with no where to run them would suck.

I’m about to buy our tickets for the Philly auto show...yeah, nothing exciting...so I’ll be happy just to see actual product there. Concepts are always a bonus, but it’s not a big deal if they’re not there. I haven’t been to a car show in God only knows how long, so I’m looking forward to taking the kids. They're 3 now, and they love cars, so hopefully this will be a hit. I actually got the day off so I won’t be a walking zombie either. Life is good!

They will love it. I have been to the Philly show several times and I have taken my daughter a couple times when she was like 3-4. She always had a good time too.

I haven’t been to the one in Philly since I was a kid and Dukes of Hazzard was still on TV. John Schneider was there signing autographs...I think I got a pic of the back of his head. :) I’m sure the kids will enjoy it, they love cars. I just hope they enjoy it long enough for me to enjoy it too. :D

I’m really hoping to see JL there, and I’ll be picking up as many brochures, info as I can for as many vehicles as I can. I’ll be like a kid in a candy shop.

I've been to and worked dozens of auto shows, nowadays I just prefer to sit back and watch the live stream reveals.

Yes, especially since the car you want to see is often roped off and you can't see much at the auto show.

My favourite time was a invite to SAE around the NAIAS in a seperate hall. Got wined and dined meeting Ralph and they were showing the 2008 Challengers... we left grinning from ear to ear with bags of swag ....

The main reason I quit going to Detroit was the crowds just made the whole experience a giant pain. Wall to wall people.

That’s what I’m afraid of for Philly, but we’re going on a week day so maybe...I can’t stand crowds.

Yeah, if you can go during the week it's *much* better

Between you and me, I wouldn't rule out a refresh on at least one of the current gen L models...

I went to Detroit to see the Challenger concept back in 05 or 06. You could barely get within 50 meters of the display due to crowding. Camaro concept was the same.

I would say that the 300 could use some updated headlights for example... :D

You’re not making me feel any better about the (potential) crowds. :p If it ends up being overcrowded, then at least we can say we tried. I haven’t been to one in so long, I’m sure I’ll find something interesting to occupy my time. I’m really hoping to get up close to JL. That would be the highlight for me.
