Welcome to Allpar. Is it an electrical or mechanical problem with the switch? Do the parking lights work, but the headlamps don't?
Many times the grease thickens and becomes an insulator over the contacts. These switches can be carefully disassembled and rebuilt with regular hand tools if that's possible.
The floor dimmer switch and wiring can also cause headlamps not to work.
The Valiant was its own corporate division and the regular 1960 passenger car parts catalog doesn't list Valiant, but if it is the same as the other cars then I see a Mopar part # of 2209329.
    Google: Mopar 2209329.

    An example:
    59-61 Plymouth/ Dodge/Desoto Fullsize & 60 Valiant Headlight Switch-NOS 2209329 | eBay (at http://www.ebay.ca/itm/59-61-Plymouth-Dodge-Desoto-Fullsize-60-Valiant-Headlight-Switch-NOS-2209329-/222148756997?hash=item33b9190605 )

Older part #'s that might also work are: 1842393, 1881765, 2084296.
