According to model codes used by the dealers - it's 48. But, mistakes can be made - no matter the source.

    I stand by 41 = 4-door sedan FWD, and 48 = 4-door sedan RWD.

But then you also have the "41's" that are assigned to trucks... sure can get confusing!

Also, "48" would not just apply to "RWD" since the Charger AWD is also a "48" (LXEH48).

I cannot seem to find a "41" used with any LX models and have checked every single model variation for model years 2005-up. If you get a chance can you ask your source what LX models the "41" refers to, I'm curious if it is some sort of "sub" code or something as I have never seen it on any official documents.

What is the WC program that you have as (new). Do you think that could be the replacement for the Pacifica? and maybe it is taking the platform as the next-generation Grand Cherokee which is supposed to be more of a unibody structure?

    Or an LA22?

Anybody have any idea what the "A" might mean?

Does anyone have info on the following codes:

LY28 = seems to be a PROPOSED (not approved) Charger coupe for 2010ish (next-gen sheetmetal, maybe?).

LS = S-class-derived Chrysler? New Yorker? To be built on the line at Brampton? It seems the 6.4 Hemi will be an option in whatever-it-is.

    Someone's typo.

"LS" appeared on my original 6.4L model list, have never figured out what vehicle though...

"D1" and "DH" - the Heavy Duty Ram one-ton and three-quarter ton pickups respectively - began in '03, not in '06. Otherwise this info is pretty darn amazing! Thanks for posting it. :)

Correction made, the Ram trucks with all of their variants can sure get confusing at times.

I'm trying to decide whether we should take this list and make it into a static html page with discussion in the allpar feedback forum, or whether to make it part of a small wiki... any thoughts? If we do a wiki I'd probably also watn the future vehicle launch list in there.

I have to admit that I'm not a fan of using several disconnected systems.

I have a full list somewhere, but from my memory in the trim codes you list are actually what Chrysler terms as "Price Class" but essentially they do designate trim. Many of these go way back (i.e. the Taxi designations)

    Code: Description:
    E Economy
    H High
    K Police
    L Low
    M Medium
    N New York Taxi
    P Premium
    S Special
    T Taxi
    X Other(SRT or similar usually)
