Cherokee doesn't have teh e torque so that means the 4 cylinder is good all around
Ok, went to NAIAS today. A few comments, (most based off the TrailHawk Elite that was there, and that I spent a significant amount of time with, which may be the "hero" car from the press release pics):
Still really comfortable for me
The phone cubby in front of the shifter is bigger (deeper) than I expected
I like the rear LED plate lights
New USB plus for second row passengers
New overhead lighting for second row passengers, near the overhead grab handles
The revised center console that holds the new rear USB plugs eats in to rear seat leg room for the rear middle passenger
Rear load floor is no longer hinged, but rather it just lays in place (and thus, easily removable) but has lost the strap that holds it open from the roof
Rear seat no longer slides forwards/backwards in TH Elite
Storage rack in cargo area is gone, freeing up the space, still room under the rear floor (even with the full size spare) for "stuff"
Front passenger seat no longer folds flat (now power seat tho)
TH does not get the gloss piano black radio bezel
TH gets a dark grey accent colour on steering wheel, instead of the silver colour that was there before
Looks like the FCW button is gone from under the screen (possibly? This was on a TH without ACC)
No more locking fuel door
Sorry if this was posted already. The build and price is up. Had to change the years but it worked.

I'm almost positive that the 2019 Cherokee still has a strap and hook to hold up the load floor. Perhaps it had been ripped out of the model you examined?
I've been checking for that daily since the "reveal", so it would make sense that it went up today when I haven't been at a computer to check lol
Here's a direct link: http://www.jeep.com/hostc/bmo/models.do?modelYearCode=CUJ201908
It was a different floor than before, and not hinged at all, and didn't have the flaps at the back to cover any gaps made by sliding the seats forward.
Those that still had the original floor had the strap I think
^Yeah, it didn't have that floor
A dark interior, so you can't really see:
The under floor storage is still nice in the TH with the full size spare:
The cool thing about the revised floor for those models that don't have a full size spare tire, is that you can put the floor in a lower position and increase the rear cargo space.
Jeep has released a ton of new press photos today...
Glad to see some media shots with the silver TH
How might someone like me get access to the high res versions of those?
Autoblog was nice enough to put a comparison chart up of the other vehicles in Cherokee's class with Turbos.
2019 Jeep Cherokee vs. other compact SUVs: How it compares on paper (at https://www.autoblog.com/2018/01/31/2019-jeep-cherokee-vs-compact-suvs-turbo/ )
I still find it weird that the FCW disable button is gone from the dash for 2019, leaving a blank button in an obvious spot, even on an Overland.
@redriderbob I'm loving that silver TH
Wow, didn't realize the engine numbers were so good compared to the rivals.
