Is the mitsubishi V6 an INTERFERENCE engine if the timing belt breaks?

Assuming it’s the SOHC common in the 1990s cars, no it is not interference.

The 3.0 doesn't get alot of love here. It does tend to leak alot of oil after 100k but as long as you change nthat belt and check your oil its a easy 200k engine.

Welcome to Allpar. The 3.0L SOHC/12-valve used in the domestics was non-interference. The 3.0L DOHC and 24-valve used in Stealth and DiamondStar products was interference.
The Mitsubishi 2.5L V6 used in the JA/JX cars was also interference.
Replace the water pump and idler/tensioner pulleys while you are in there.
