Sure. You go ahead and try it first. I am happy to sit and wait. I am in no rush...
You're missing part of the thread - Aldo has been/is worried about the strength of the new axle (D35) feeling that the D44 should have been used across the range. Additional information has been shared about these axles being very different than theire previous namesakes and he is feeling relived, but as a prudent customer is saying he can wait and see how the new JL's with the new axles do before deciding on a Sahara or Rubicon...
I got this one, Aldo. lol
Everyone were very helpful and as expected very happy to have the new baby out to the public. Spoke to Mark and you could hear the pride in his voice. I'm also very excited.
I'm really hoping the gutters are reinforced enough to handle what they have in that pic. Right now, I'm only brave enough to put skis on the gutters on my JKU
Not sure I would compare the new ones from 20 years ago.
I am glad the neoprene over the roll cage is gone. That material was a dirt catcher, especially wheeling in the desert.
I am also anxious to feel the increased body rigidity from the more integrated exoskeleton (may be wrong term).
I guess you have forgotten about Dodge pickup ball joints and Jeep Liberty ball joints and Neon head gaskets, etc. They really held up well after passing durability testing. The automotive world is littered with horrible parts that passed durability testing.
I said that in an earlier post.
Keeping the "35" name on the new axle will be a sure way to sell more Rubicons.
Dana 35 as a name is right up there with Yugo.
That is all true...
Thanks for the clarification!! Sorry Aldo.
That Mojito Green Unlimited with all of the JPP's is so nice. Reminds me a little of the Trailcat concept that I also want. And the Rebel TRX concept that I want. And a diesel JT.
When will the Mopar catalog be updated with all of the new JL goodies? Will JK parts still be listed for 2018?
Edit: Nevermind, I think I found what I was asking about for the JL.
It's the fact it's a sport, the TFL video spoke about the ones on the Rubicon being the upgrade/optional set (Probably comes with the tech package/parking sensors).
I was thinking that the fenders were narrower because of that too: Sport, so smaller rubber. Not to mention that the fenders on the Rubicon are up higher so it can fit the larger tires too.
Edit: Ah, seems that the white Sport there, also has the 2" Mopar lift kit, and it has 35's on it. I don't think the axles are an issue. lol
(Sorry if the video has already been posted)
Will the new Jeep be at NAIAS ?
I would think so.
Of course, why wouldn't be?
I just hope we get to see the JT a lot earlier before production and release than the JL.... That was way tooooo long to see the production vehicle.
I feel as though ordering opening should coincide with the day of reveal. Having clients be able to factory order a vehicle they haven't "officially" seen yet is dumb.
JT is probably a little ways away
