    Ditto.
And Jillian as time goes on as it tries to heal, please check in on us once in a while. Just to let us know how you and the family are doing. (as I extend a "Jeep Wave")

For some reason I felt I had to post one more time. Not ready to let this thread slide to page 2 yet.

    Thank you for doing that.

Coincidentally, I just mentioned Norm on another thread.

Whether he knew or not, Norm was a guardian of the the legacy, the brand reputation and, yes, the prestige that Jeep has earned over 74 years, that make it one of FCA's most valuable brands today.

It would be something if those that could attend his service did, and those that cannot honor the man in some way on their social media pages on July 1.

Yes, we mourn the loss - but we must celebrate the man.

sad news for someone i only knew through the internet. I (virtually) met Moparnorm during the Cerberus days in CAB. My sincere condolences. Seemed like a good Hemingway/Sailor kinda guy that you could have a beer with. RIP Norm!

Still I look to see his opinions/replies on the forums. Hard to believe he's gone....

I always tell myself, life goes on.

But it will never be quite the same. Such a large presence, leaves a hole. And it still feels pretty big.......

“Tina Layton would like for anyone that would like to send donations that it would go to corva.org in memory of Morpar Norm Layton. He was also very active and a representative for Corva through our Bear Valley 4x4 Jeep Club.”

I was just there. You can request to not get their newsletter and they will honor it.

    TommyDodge,
You can send any memorials to the location for the service (July 1st): Bethany Church 9950 Monte Vista Ave. Montclair, CA 91763 or if you'd like to send something directly to the family you can email me at [email protected]

Wanted to bring this back to the top of the forum list..... it appears Norm's funeral service is today. Would think a prayer for the family at this time would be good.

May the pain of the loss of a husband, father and friend fade away and the memories stay and grow stronger forever.

    Hello to all MoparNorm fans,
This is Mrs. Tina Layton. Norm's death was sudden and just a complete tragic ! And yes, from an apparent heart attack. I know that he is in Heaven with Heavenly Father and his own Father who passed last July.
Thanks to all of you, his Allpar friends, I have really enjoyed reading the wonderful comments. We had a beautiful service yesterday with military honors to commemorate his life. My MoparNorm was a special guy to so many and we had a very fun life together the last 16 years. I'll see you in Heaven honey, when God choses my time. For all Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge enthusiasts....continue to enjoy the vehicles on & off the roads of America & wherever your travels take you. Enjoy life to its fullest !
    Love, MoparTina

Thank You Tina. Norm was lucky to have you for a wife, he spoke fondly of you many times. God Bless you and the Layton clan.

Thank you for posting. We all appreciate your letting us know. I hope some of us were able to attend, but I know we have precious few members in your area.

We observed a minute of silence yesterday at 4:00 pm (Detroit/Toledo time.)

Thank you for touching base, Tina. I barely got to know Norm but he obviously was a passionate man and touched a lot of lives. God bless Norm and your family.
