Wow, it makes me kind of sick to see all those new cars ruined.

I thought Jeeps were supposed to be able to go off road.

    I’m sure that’ll buff right out. :p

On a different note, there has been some crazy weather lately. A friend posted pics from the town I grew up in in Pennsylvania (Phoenixville) and the flooding around the creek where we used to go as kids. I don’t remember it ever that bad while we lived there. Crazy.

We often dismiss land use changes and their impact due to weather events.
More man made structures, roads and parking lots mean there is less uncovered land today to soak up rain than there was in the past.
The result is more runoff. More runoff means flash floods occur quicker and can be larger.

There is also a little thing going on in the northeast due to the circumpolar vortex being in Meridional flow rather than Zonal flow.
Anyone interested in that can read about the differences between the two flow patterns here.

Oh my gosh how sickening. When I lived in Raleigh the dealerships would regularly move the cars to a lot with higher ground because Southern Stages Dodge/Nissan would constantly flood.

Dave can tell you that this part of New Jersey experiences regular flooding for the past 50 to 60 years.

The government does nothing about it and does not improve the Water Management Systems.
