Also explains the interior spy shot of WL75 looking exactly like the leaked photo of the WL74 interior from a couple years ago. I'd be against them using a different name on what is essentially a stretched version of the same vehicle. GM does get away with it on Tahoe and Suburban though.

From a cost standpoint, it doesn't make sense to introduce a new name and develop a new interior and exterior when they can just take advantage of the Grand Cherokee name and charge the same price with reduced development expense.

Would that give us a SPIRITUAL JEEP RESCUE? Though a true RESCUE would probably work better on POWER WAGON mechanicals...

Honda does same with Pilot and Passport, although in that case they developed the two-row model after the three-row. That said, agree that it makes more sense to use same name if the two vehicles are to be styled alike.

GM does it because with Chevy the Suburban existed before the Tahoe and they recognize the value in the Suburban name. Notice that the Suburban name wasn't as strong with GMC and they moved to Yukon XL.

Just think of the 3 row G Cherokee as the Extended wheel base Range Rover, except the Extended wheelbase is for a 3rd row instead of extra 2nd row space for Livery services.

No offense, but that is dated. I am praying for a homerun, in the interior department.

Or they may leave the name as its - Grand Cherokee - but they could say this is LWB version of GC, no badge or name is needed.

I'd rather have what's a slightly 'dated' look vs the Japanese penchant for needless bulges, swoops, angles, angry bug eye headlamps etc. Its classy, not one of the Japanese competitors looks half as good. At least to my eyes.
    4Runner...now THAT'S dated
Lexus equivalent of 4 Runner, just plain hideous
Nissan...Pathfinder is a mini van with no identity
    Subaru...pleasant but no real identity
Honda....same boring face as on all their vehicles...

Jeep don't cave to the change for the sake of change mantra. The ugliness in the current crop of SUVs is just horrific. A face not even a mother can love for most of them...

Not going to lie, I still prefer WK2's look over WL74 from what I've seen thus far.
