Not for the 2019 model year launch that I know of. I will say, it will be launched on two new launches within the next two years for sure.... at the minimum.

That's the same vehicle. As Mike Manley said those are just trim levels of the same vehicle. Both are WS.

Let's make it clear. FCA is planing to offer GME T6 on both WS and WL from the launch.

An Engine thats not needed...nor practical and only fits a few chassis..
    - it must be the "straight six" stigma that drives this need.

And to be honest, there isnt many "modular" Engines that have been really good.

That's since been refuted, from what I recall. His comments were before the program was relaunched as body on frame vehicle.

It's a good solution for any FCA RWD based platform.

For FWD there are turbo 4 and hybrids. I can remember when some guys here moaned about long snout on a FWD cars. FCA now has a solution for that issue.

Why does the engine keep getting referred to as a "T6"? Are the cylinders arranged in a "T" pattern? How would that even work?

The question is, will they use it in a car or just another crossover?

Explained multiple times. T as turbo. 6 is number of cylinders.

    What's GME T4?

Crossover is a car. Some cars are crossovers.

Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer could be different wheelbase length of same vehicle.
Same as for Range Rover with its standard wheelbase and long wheelbase versions, which translates in 200 mm (7.9") additional space for rear passengers.

Cars are low and sleek. Crossovers are tall and frumpy.

Despite what management/marketing wants everyone to think, there is a difference.

That's called saloon or sedan. It depends on which side of Atlantic you are.

I here it is going to be pretty compact and will fit Transversely in larger vehicles... certainly not the SUSW linage vehicles

Frumpy??? now now..... GLA is best looking vehicle Daimler makes, Stelvio is not Frumpy...... Tall and hatch Yes, but he is correct CUV is a car. C stands for Car. Some will say anything without a frame is car, other will point to a flat floor as defining a Truck... ever other will say unless it over a certain tonnage it is a car... But no doubt a CUV is just a tall car.

It's also suspension related issue. But there are tricks how to make it more compact. Transmission would be a bottle neck. ZF 9HP limit is at 480 Nm. Most other autos for transverse engines are limited at around 500 Nm.

IMO, for transverse applications Inline 5 is a more suitable solution.

The "C" in CUV stands for crossover or compact.

And the Giulia looks much better. CUV designs are too homogenized for me to see more than their general shape. The only exception is the BMW X4/X6, because their shape is more unique than the 2-box archetype that most crossovers are based on.

C = Car it came in to being with car based SUVs... also refers to Crossover which again acknowledges it as a tall car. Compact SUVs are nearly as old as the class itself heck the original Jeep is B segment.

See how taste can be subjective...

X4 and X6 are 2 of the ugliest vehicles on the Road. Stomach wrenchingly bad. While GLA is lovely, the Stevio is Lovely. GC is lovely..... not any of those 3 look like the other in anyway. Many people well argue the Sedans all started looking the same with aero throwing a blanket across the entire class..

    So it is subject.

Wasn't this thread about the T6?
