What kind of gas mileage are you Patriot owners getting? Especially the 5 sp. owners. Thanks.
My 2008 FD-I AWD with CVT gets as low as 16mpg on short trips in extremely cold weather but otherwise averages 19.5 to 21mpg in urban driving and 25-28mpg on two-lane roads in open country at 60-65mph. It gets 19-23mpg at a steady 75mph on interstates in the High Plains.
From those that bothered to do so on fueleconomy.gov :
2008 (2.4/5-speed/2WD): 25-29
2009 (2.4/5-speed/2WD): 29-32
2010 (2.4/5-speed/2WD): 29.5
2011 (2.4/5-speed/2WD): 21.8
I get 23 in the winter and 27 in the summer, mostly highway, 2.4 CVT FDI 2009. My tires are a little oversized as well.
Been monitoring this during recent city driving, right around 21mpg on my recent 3 checks...
My '15 Patriot seems more frisky now. Around 21k on it and the engine seems to be loosening up; better jump off the stop lights, increased throttle response in general. So my question is; do engines loosen up in time to allow this, or is this all in my head? I run a CVT w/freedom drive 2
It's in your head.
