...hear me out on this, as I do kind of agree on some of these comments... This is where the moving away from the crosshairs *may* make it harder to instantly tell it's a Ram. With the crosshair grille, it was very obvious as to what it was. No one else had a crosshair grille. The "RAM" grille in those spyshots looks a bit too generic IMO, and could easily be mistaken as a variety of other trucks, like a Tundra, GMC, etc. These are horizontal grille designs with a badge stuck in the middle. As well, Ford is also putting those "nostrils" on the front of it's trucks. I wonder too how many people will miss the "horns" that run across the top of the grille/hood? Again, this is all IMHO. Hopefully, the different trims and final versions we see very soon will change my opinion on that. That is not to say that I don't doubt that this truck will look fantastic. @redriderbob I definitely see the similarities to the '97-'04 Dakota on the sides, and I'm a fan of that. But I do have to admit I prefer the crosshair grille on that drawing that @oh2o posted publicly recently.
