Without pulling the eng., anyone have a suggestion on how to get #'s 5 & 7 plugs out of a 340 block with hedman, headers in a '75 Duster. They were installed before the block & headers were installed..... Any special tool or tricks would be appreciated!

Or undo the motor mounts and jack it up for clearance.

Universal won,t clear the header. I can put the socket (by itself) on the plug with some maneuvering, but clearances stop the extensions or universal from clearing and a 3/4" open end or box end on the socket has same results.......

You would think that There must be some obscure tool for this problem, as I am sure this problem has been around for a long time!

I will keep looking to avoid the alternative.

wheel well is closed off and underneath is too close to maneuver.
I'll try the Westward wrench.....and keep looking around.

    Thanx

Spark plug socket with a hex on the top and a combination wrench. Please do it when headers are cool.

SK brand made a 3/8" drive spark plug socket with a hex head on top. About the shortest I know of.
