As far as where the mock up Bird body ended up, I would guess scrapped out.
The video guy would have you believe that the car exists.
Well, the rear plug is CLAY, and would be hard to see through!
Now, could that car have been put back together and sold??? Remember, they were rolling off production lines.
I wound find it very hard to believe Chrysler would waste any resources on this, after the mock ups usefulness was over.
As Fast Eddie knows, Engineering would scrap out a ton of stuff!!!
Same with Styling.
"every dollar counted" is this guy's justification that the car may have been sold. By the same theory, they would not have spent more money returning this car to stock than their profit on it. Remove the nose, patch the wing holes, restore stock rear window configuration, replace (or undo modifications to) the front fenders, etc.
No way. They either scraped it or used it for other purposes before scrapping.
