I don’t know, but this was the photo in your post that I replied to.

    Strange.

In any case, the photo situation is irrelevant. The GC Overland and Summit definitely have a classier interior.

That's the base-model 2008 Liberty interior and they were mimicking the Wrangler. They did a good job doing that and again, this was the BASE model from 12 years ago...

The links broke for some reason, so I found a similar image of the same package from anther source. Still a Summit though???

Terrible. But nothing on my KK's interior broke after 7 years and 170,000 miles. I know those doorhandles on those WKs were GARBAGE though. I guess I got lucky. I used to be a valet driver and I know very well how those interiors actually held up. I got a good one.

If it’s the same package in both pictures then yes, they are both Summits.

I'm still getting by in my like new 2007 PT Cruiser with a measly 137,000 miles on the clock.

No doubt that three-way love triangle was accompanied by a generous amount of psychedelic drugs!:D

Totally disagree on the ergonomics. The interior has prominent knobs for HVAC temperature, volume, and station search. The touchscreen is located close to the driver and is actually more in the driver's sight line than any Jeep.

New 208 is technically... Let's say not so good car. And rear suspension solution.

And it's regularly losing comparison tests against new Renault Clio.

There were some reviews that suggested otherwise when that debuted. ;)

The Mazda's (which I'm referring to) don't have touch-screens. They have a "knob" down by the center console that controls the infotainment system. They also have very few hard buttons...

I think you're talking about the new Nissan design? That interior is certainly laid out better than the Mazdas, but it's not markedly better than any given Jeep's in terms of layout and ergonomics.

2019 LCVs registrations in Europe were 2.1 million (LCV = commercial vehicles with weight up to 3.5 tons).

It is difficult to know the margins since manufacturer doesn't make public that data, but is estimated between 8% and 11%.
The sector of vans is estimated to increase since e-commerce.

As reference the pricelist of a Fiat Ducato van version starts about Euro 25k and goes up to about Euro 35k (taxes excluded).

    A mid 2018 article.
Ford, Renault, VW, tighten grip on Europe's LCV sector (at https://europe.autonews.com/article/20180703/ANE/180629776/ford-renault-vw-tighten-grip-on-europe-s-lcv-sector )

Interesting tidbit- I have on good hand from a trusted source that the Rogue's interior is going to feel nice too. I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised. The weak spot for this car will likely be the powertrain combo.

The tiny little bit I know about the Peugeot 508 Sedan I like. With an FCA power train, I'd have to think long and hard.

Yep, can't stand CVT's. Too bad, because this new Rogue looks interesting.

Nissan products have flooded the used car market. Hertz is bankrupt and the other rental car companies have flushed out inventory to weather this financial storm caused by the pandemic lockdown. Any new Nissan model has to be a significant upgrade from the older model.
