With the recent questions about PT taillights, I thought it might be interesting to see some of the many custom units that have been available over the years. I'll post a few each day and if any of you have any pics or info to add, feel free to jump in.:)

The first is when an owner named lowpt used a set of PTeazer retro taillights and then went beyond the extra mile to move the fuel filler assembly inside the PTeazer taillight location. He did an excellent job with the relocation. It was very well thought out.

Any owner here that has a few years on him will remember the 50's Chevy's and Caddies that had what we called hidden gas caps. He took our PTs down that path.

this is a PT that went through many, many re-do's over the years. Most of the time it was called THE SPACE MODULATOR. I have seen this PT up close and personal several times and it is very well done. It's so far out that it doesn't suit everyone's taste, but that's ok.:);)

This is the type of 350Z car that the taillights were taken from.

Can you name all of the mods that we can see in this view?

This is how they should have made the PT taillights

But I wonder how that complies with the side visibility requirement ;)

A very tastefully done PT and the taillights flow perfectly with the look of this PT.

    I LIKE IT!!!;)

Speaking of brake lights, sort of. . . my neighbor let me know I had a brake light out yesterday so I picked up a pair and went out to replace them today. The screw was ceased in place, the housing did not want to come out and the bulb was not burned out, it had exploded. I had to pry the base out of the socket and I mean pry it out.

I've owned the car three years and this is the first bulb I've ever changed on the 2010. Is it even possible that these are originals? I would not think it possible, but. . .

I was going to change it's brother, when one goes, but I could not get the screw to break loose, I'm going to need a larger flat head screw driver, hopefully.

The good news is the housing itself was in excellent shape and no moisture has ever been in the socket holes.
