I finally bought a radio for my 2002 GC and installed it. The right door speaker isn't working and I see it's a plug-in arraingement and not the 2 simple wired my old school brain expected. Do I need to find a genuine MOPAR replacement or are there aftermarket speakers that work. It's a 5x7. Also, how can I tell if I have the Infinity system? Crutchfield has speakers available.

For the front door speaker, I see a before and after date in the parts catalog of 4-1-02.
After 4-1-02, the part #'s became the same (Google: 5082418AA). See figure 08A-310 here:

A friend gave me his 1996 minivan AM/FM/CD/Cass/Eq stereo system and the speakers were special 4-terminal units with an integral amplifier(?). It did not say that it was an 'Infinity' anywhere on the radio.

Valuable info IC. Thank you. My build date was 06/02. I found the page on Oskin but I can't figure out what they mean by "RCG" vs "RCG".

Excellent info again IC. In the middle of all this, I found a 2013 GC with 130k miles for $5500 so I may upgrade my ride. My wife will keep the 2014 with 25k miles.

Can you offer me any advice as to searching for a FSBO van? I have no idea how long the Pentastar engines last or the 6 and 8 speed trannys.

Infinity will have a large black module attached to the back of the speaker, plus Infinity branding on the magnet.

    IIRC this should be a 6x9 in 2002, rather than a 5x7.

Both Crutchfield and Sonic Electronics show 5x7 speakers in the doors. I had it out but didn't measure it. Not hard to get at however.
