I installed a AMP Research folding bed step for easier access in & out of this high bed. It mounts towards the rear bumper drivers side. You might want to check one out?

It is nice knowing the truck gets used as a truck. Getting rarer these days. Both mine get used, the 99 is starting to show signs of abuse though.

The things we endure to get to that favorite fishing or hunting spot for some is the hi-light of the trip.

Washing the truck after the mud bogs... the silt was thick and gooy.. one could make pottery with that stuff.

I always like to play guess the color with my Rams. Haven't had the Cummins in the deep mud yet, but the 99 has had its bright red paint completly covered a time or twelve.

Glad to see the truck got you through the mud and is getting it's cleanup.

I wonder how much more the Cummins would sink then the gas... would fun to find out. The good thing about mudding in the north is you can only sink so far then you hit perm-a-frost, but getting pulled out of that slop is a challenge.

Speaking of Clean.. while we were in Ontario, I had a conservation with a dude about city slickers that buy stick on mud to make it look like they were out mudding... Is that true, sure would like to poke some fun at those fakes. I know one can buy vinyl decals but mud decals... that takes the cake... lol

There is a local Subaru dealer here in Atlanta that puts the fake mud on an Outback they have on display out front of the dealership. From a short distance, it looks like really bad rust (which has been an issue that plagued Subaru, at least in the past decades).

I can remember many many years ago, Subaru's advertising logo was "Inexpensive & built to stay that way." I don't think that marketing gimic worked out well for them! LOL

That is so funny about the fake mud on display at a Subaru dealer. And like you Ram2500HD I also remember those tv ads while sitting there with my wife and her saying "I really like that Forester" ...Thank you Lord for not having a Subaru dealer within 600 miles... she bought a sporty Dodge with a Mitsubishi motor in it. Fun car but can't remember the name of it. I do remember the wider tires and bigger engine with bright red paint.... Ok now this is going to bug me... what was the name of that car???

There were quite a few Dodge models that had Mitsubishi engines (3.0L V6 or the 2.5L V6).
