We were told that the interior has been changed for '18, anybody have photos of the new interior?
AFAIK both 500X and Renegade got 7" UConnect HD for MY2018.
Yeah, but supposedly to accommodate the larger screen, the interior was redone a bit, that's what's been driving my curiosity since the "2018's" thread was started. Jeep doesn't have the Renegades' 2018 configurator up yet, so I wonder how significant or insignificant the changes are. lol.
Attached is a pic of areas near the console, that's all I could find.
Thanks @oh2o - I like what I see.
I find it fascinating that "Can fit an iPhone/iPad" is a selling feature.
lol, it was with the Dart too. I think it's something everyone is famliar with as an object size reference. If it can fit an iProduct, it can fit my android just fine. xD
(Also I like the positioning there, much better than trying to make it fit in a shelf)
In addition, regardless of personal opinions, the iPhone series is usually the best selling phone in America. Market share isn't as high as all the Androids combined but remains higher than any particular alternative phone... partly because Apple hasn't expanded the product line much. (Which I personally think is a mistake.)
It's also most recognizable. Whether you love or loathe iProducts, they've got recognition. Everyone knows what it is.
Everyone in my family has One, but me.
Wouldn’t buy anything else.
The terrain selector is a good change - the current layout is diffiult with the way you have to bend your head down to see it.
slot for the IPhone looks big enough to make true phone holder... someone send me the file an I will do one over the break
FWIW, I saw 2018 Grand Cherokees now offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. That’s pretty cool.
Us JK owners still live in caves, you know.
So do Rams, Pacificas, etc now.
The JL will have Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
iphone and ipad have become the generic names for all these devices it seems.
Like Kleenex refers to all tissues.
As a Blackberry Android phone owner, I disagree
I would have to disagree with this. Tablet and Phone are the generic names. I have never heard anyone with something other than an iSomething call it an iSomething.
They should have just said a 6" phone or 10" tablet - but to advertising folk, adding iSomething makes it more "hip"
And "Jeep" = SUV to most people
Outside the US anyway.
