My parents are appreciative of the extra light they provide, so win-win.
Looks like it should always have been that way. Very, very nicely done !
Here is some early stuff we had:
Met my wife in 1964 at the Sunoco gas station where I worked at in Detroit. She bought her first new car: 1964 Corvair Monza. Check out the price of gas in the picture at the gas station.
1970 Satellite...........Burnt Orange Metallic with black top and interior.....318 auto.........loved this car.
1974 Dodge Dart Sport with Slant Six.................
1978 Plymouth Volare with the 'Fun Runner" package with a "Super Six". Basically a Road Runner with Slant Six.
I had a 78 aspen just like that...man I really enjoyed that car.
When the widebody hellcat came out my son and I started looking for a super coupe...man the prices shot up...cars are a crazy thing

Here's my mom in our 1968 Dodge Coronet in northern Peru, circa 1979. This was the first Mopar my parents owned. In the background is mount Huascarán, Peru's highest peak at 22,205 feet.
On the northern Peruvian Andes
Posted these in another thread, but here's the replacement for my Caliber, a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite, with the 3.2l V6:
This one is still my favorite. My first car purchased in 1982 at age 15
This was my Uncle's that started it all for me in 1971 at age 4. He would take me for rides and I would stand next to him on the bench seat.
Unfortunately the car burnt up.
He replaced it with this 1970 Road Runner he painted the same colors as the 1969. It was Dark Metallic Green when he bought it. Despite my pleading he sold this way before I was ready to own a car. I have tried tracking this one down but have not had any luck. I always have wondered what happened to it. These two cars and watching Richard Petty on TV are the main reason I became a MoPar fan
This is my favourite thread in AllPar lol. Love it.
@aldo90731 - this is an unbelievably sexy car, my God...
Thank you. That was a 2006 Chrysler 300C SRT-8 I purchased new and kept for three years. Didn't have any issues with it. Loved that car.
Updated shot of our vehicles, now that the van is home for the summer. It just got home, so I have some cleaning ahead of me:
From last night....
My mother-in-laws 1977 Aspen couple days after she bought it new. Polaroid picture..........now we are talking old.
